Inkjet printers that use traditional cartridges tend to have a high cost-per-print, laser printers usually have a much lower cost-per-print, and meanwhile, SuperTank inkjet printers give you the best bang for your buck. You can also use third-party supplies, which could substantially reduce your cost-per-print but could carry some risks. The HP OfficeJet 3830 is available on Amazon at this point for a bargain price of about $80. HP's suggestion for its replacement is the HP DeskJet Plus for $99.99.
